The Goon Sax wield three-minute weapons that’ll shred your heart to ribbons. In their first Australian shows since the release of their acclaimed 2021 record Mirror II, the Brisbane trio will amplify their stylish, gothic anthems of youthful ennui into the night&#39;s outer reaches. Drawing from all the best bits of no-wave, their recent sonic leap only added fresh angles to the reflective prism of post-punk we&#39;ve been gazing at since they formed in 2013. 
Setting the scene is the atmospheric and impossible-to-pin-down EXEK. Riding high on the recent release of their fifth record, Advertise Here, the psychedelic krautrock explorers continue to travail hallucinatory landscapes. Born from frontman Albert Wolski&#39;s solo project, the delightfully abstract dub that underscores his bold spoken-word narration is as slick as it is surreal.
